Expedition Around the Globe!

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ARTS CAMP 2008

Music - Art - Dance - Drama
All instructors are professionals in their arts speciality
Maximum of 12 campers per age group

Join Darlington's staff, teaching artists and special guests, for another trip around the globe this summer!

Darlington's International Summer Arts Camp, now in its third year, has been wildly successful at providing students with international awareness while gaining skills in the arts from professionals in the visual arts, music, dance and drama.

This year our students will be "traveling" to some of the most politically relevant regions of our times: the Middle East, East Asia, and Africa. While students may learn about these diverse cultures in school, this is a unique opportunity for them to enhance their knowledge of these cultures through the arts. Small groups ensure campers individualized attention and encouragement.

The campers will be divided into groups by age:
Preschool Half Day Program (ages 3 - 5)
Full Day Program (ages 5 - 7 & 8 - 12)
Half Day Program (ages 6 - 9)

Elementary and Pre-Teen Full Day Arts Camps are daily, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Half Day Arts Camp is daily, Monday - Friday, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Students enrolled in the Full-Day Program will perform for family and friends on Friday afternoons. Due to time constraints, our Half-Day Program is not performance based.

Pre-school Arts Camp
is in the morning, 9:30 am - Noon and has three choices each week:
3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
2 days a week: Tuesday & Thursday
5 days a week: Monday - Friday
All Pre-schoolers MUST be potty-trained!

An Extended Day is available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Supervision will be provided for the campers for an additional $12 per day ($60 per week). Pre-Camp Care is available 8:00 am - 9:00 am for an additional $12 per day (earlier may be arranged). Payment is required at least one week prior to the start of the session.
