Private Music Instruction
Per 30-minute lesson: $27
Per 45-minutes: $40.50
Per 60-minutes: $54
Teachers available through arrangement with music registrar. Private lessons are available for piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, celtic harp, trumpet, saxophone, oboe, guitar (rock, folk, jazz, classical), banjo, flute, recorder, clarinet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and drums/percussion. Theory classes included in the price of private instrumental lessons.

The Suzuki Method:

Realizing the implications of native language learning, Shinichi Suzuki developed the rote method of musical learning. The Suzuki method emphasizes the importance of starting early, listening, repetition, parental involvement and encouragement, and learning with other children. Darlington offers Suzuki instruction in violin and piano.

Suzuki Violin Program:

Pre-Twinkle Violin Classes
Beginners, Ages 4 - 6
For the younger student Darlington offers the Pre-Twinkle Violin Class. Students may take from 16-32 weeks of pre-twinkle before graduating to the traditional Suzuki program.
Beginners: Wed, 6:30 - 7:00pm
Beginners: Sat, 11:30am - Noon
Returning: Sat, 10:00 - 10:30am
Returning: Sat, 10:30 - 11:00am
Returning: Sat, 2:30 - 3:00pm

two 8 week sessions
Session 1: Feb 6/9 - Apr 2/5 (No class Mar 19-22)
Session 2: Apr 9/12 - May 28/Jun 7 (No class May 24)

The Traditional Suzuki Program
Ages 6 & up
The traditional Suzuki program is offered to older beginners and graduates of pre-twinkle. It consists of two key and necessary components: weekly private lessons and bi-weekly group lessons. Music theory classes are offered at no extra cost.

Book 1: Tues, 11:30am - Noon
Book 1: Wed, 12:30 - 1:00pm
Book 1: Sat, 9:00 - 9:30am
Book 2 & 3: Mon, 7:00 - 7:30pm
Book 2 & 3: Sat, 9:30 - 10:00am

Individual Dramatic Coaching
$45 per hour

This intense private instruction includes individual analysis and critique using primarily monologue and improvisation.

Private Dance Instruction
$45 per hour
Teacher - Henderson, Mattern, O'Hara-Bruno
This intense private instruction is available for ballet, tap, modern, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop.

Private Art Instruction
$45 per hour
Teachers - Darlington Art Faculty
This intense private instruction is available for any age, any level, or any medium.
