New Dance Registrations with Pro-Rated Tuition will be Accepted until February 9, 2008, Provided Space is Available.

Darlington Arts Center's Dance program was established to provide quality dance education to students of all ages in a fun, encouraging and supportive environment. Students will gain an appreciation of dance and valuable performing experience through their participation in weekly classes and the annual dance recital. Students are expected to spend two years at each level. Exceptions may be made with permission from the instructor.

Recital Information

Dance Recital: Tuesday, June 10, 2007, Location TBA
Dress Rehearsal: Monday, June 9, 2007, Location TBA
Picture Day: Sunday June 8, 2007, Darlington Arts Center

Students will be charged a $25 recital fee per family to help defray the cost of the performance space. There is no additional charge for tickets or a limit on invited guests. Costumes will be selected and ordered by the teachers. Students will receive written notification of the size and price after measurements are taken by the teacher. Parents will have two weeks to send in payment and to discuss any changes in size. There will be a $5 processing fee per family to cover costume shipping costs.

Dance Attire:
Ballet or Tap: Solid black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers or black tap shoes. Hair should be pulled off the face and neck and secured in a bun.
Creative Movement or Dance Exploration: Play clothes (comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No skirts or jeans please!) or a leotard and non-footed tights, bare feet or jazz shoes.
Jazz or Hip-Hop: leotard or tank top, tights or close-fitting sweatpants, jazz shoes.
