Music Instruction
Fees: Per 30-minute lesson: $27,
Per 45-mins: $40.50, Per 60-mins: $54

Private lessons are available for piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, trumpet, saxophone, oboe, guitar (rock, folk, jazz, classical), banjo, flute, clarinet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and drums/percussion.
Theory classes are included in the price of private instrumental lessons.
Instrumental Group Lessons/Ensembles
2 players: $18 per student per 30 minutes
3 players: $16 per student per 30 minutes
4 players: $14 per student per 30 minutes
5 players: $12 per student per 30 minutes
Our instrumental ensemble groups are chosen for personal and musical compatibility as well as proficiency and age. Open to all instruments.
Classes for Elementary Instrumental Students
Instrumental Ensemble Rates
An economical way to introduce beginning students to applied music lessons. Small or semi-private lessons for clarinet, saxophone, flute, recorder, trumpet, violin, cello, guitar and percussion. A great introduction to an instrument!
The Suzuki Method:
Realizing the implications of native language learning, Shinichi Suzuki developed the rote method of musical learning. The Suzuki method emphasizes the importance of starting early, listening, repetition, parental involvement and encouragement, and learning with other children. Darlington offers Suzuki instruction in violin and piano.

For the younger student Darlington offers the Pre-Twinkle Violin Class. Students may take from 16-32 weeks of pre-twinkle before graduating to the traditional Suzuki program.

The traditional Suzuki program is offered to older beginners and graduates of pre-twinkle. It consists of two key and necessary components: weekly private lessons and bi-weekly group lessons. Music theory classes are offered at no extra cost.
