Message from the Director

Welcome to Darlington Arts Center’s 33rd year!

Darlington, Your Non-Profit Community Arts Center, values its place in this vibrant, thriving community as your gateway to the arts. We firmly believe that the arts enrich our lives and our communities, allowing us to share ideas, develop new perspectives and build new connections. Darlington is becoming an important destination where families go to indulge a passion or a talent, enjoy summer camp or experience our many special events such as our new Spring and Winter Art Markets, regular Coffee House Concerts and monthly gallery exhibits by local artists. The arts provide “languages” that cut through differences in culture, education and ability.

Throughout the transitions of 2009-2010, we were able to maintain the continuity of our excellent programming while continuing to foster the creation, understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the performing and visual arts.

The Darlington Arts Center continues to successfully fulfill its mission and solidify its niche within the community by providing the highest quality of teaching in music, art, dance, theatre and fitness. We are delighted to provide a space for the community to gather as well as providing gallery and concert space for local and regional artists at every level to perform and exhibit.

We are very grateful to all our generous families, donors, grantors and volunteers who work behind the scenes as well as the talented and dedicated Board of Directors and staff who make it possible to keep our organization healthy and moving toward the future.
