Hit the road this summer with Darlington’s teaching artists for a road trip adventure through the arts of America. Explore the diversity within our own borders; learn about geographical styles in music, dance, art and theater. Following years of Darlington’s wildly successful International Summer Arts Camp, 2010’s American Road Trip will raise student’s awareness of the valuable culture within our own country, and our connections all around the globe.
Through lessons, games and projects, taught by professional visual artists, musicians, dancers and actors, students will “travel” to places both familiar and unknown across the country, and expand their understanding of America’s cities and regions through artistic exploration. Small groups ensure campers individualized attention and encouragement.
