Darlington believes that the arts in any form at any level and to any extent provide lifelong educational tools and skills such as creative thinking, discipline, focus, self-esteem and cognitive development.
The combination of our educational programming, performance events, and exhibitions provide the community an opportunity to experience the arts as students or audience members.
Darlington’s classes broadly embrace the four disciplines of music, visual art, dance and drama. Individual and group instruction is available for students of all ages, from infants to seniors, at all skill levels.
Do you want a way to express your creativity or take some time out for yourself? Do you want to learn more about a specific art form, but not commit to a weekly class? Perhaps you would like to experiment with a specialized technique? Darlington’s workshops are perfect for you! Light commitment – tons of fun! Workshops meet only once or twice and will help you escape the day-to-day routine while exploring a new art form.
Private lessons are a great way to ease your way into an instrument, style or subject or to begin intensive study. Lessons can be arranged for any length of time in a wide array of instruments, styles, or media with supportive and experienced teachers. Let us match you with a teacher who can help you achieve your goals while working within your schedule.
“Learning is not a product of schooling but the lifelong attempt to acquire it.” – Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
