Recommended Dance Class Attire

Advanced Choreography: Tank top and leggings/close-fitting pants (no jeans, no skirts) or a leotard and non-footed tights. Jazz shoes or dance sneakers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Ballet: Hair pulled back off the face and neck and secured in a bun. Solid black leotard, pink tights, and pink leather ballet slippers. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Creative Dance: Play clothes (comfortable clothes that allow for movement, no skirts, no jeans) or a leotard and non-footed tights. Bare feet. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Creative/Pre-Tap: Leotard and tights (footed or non-footed, see shoe requirements) or play clothes (comfortable clothes that allow for movement; no skirts, no jeans). Shoes: black tap shoes (with socks or footed tights); if wearing footed tights, also bring pink leather ballet slippers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Contemporary: Leotard and tights or tank top and close-fitting pants (no jeans). Shoes: “FootUndeez” or similar.  Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Dance Company: Leotard or tank top and dance pants. Jazz shoes. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Dance Exploration: Tank top and close-fitting pants (no skirts, no jeans) or a leotard and non-footed tights. Bare feet. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Hip Hop: Tank top and close-fitting pants (no jeans, no skirts) or a leotard and tights (footed or non-footed).  Dance sneakers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Hip Hop Just For Guys: Tank top or t-shirt and close-fitting sweatpants (nothing baggy; no jeans). Jazz shoes or dance sneakers. No accessories/jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Jazz: Leotard and non-footed tights (preferred) or tank top and leggings/close fitting pants (no jeans, no skirts). Jazz shoes. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Lyrical / Jazz: Leotard and dance pants. Shoes: “FootUndeez” or similar. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Tap: Leotard and tights or tank top and leggings/close-fitting pants (no jeans, no skirts). Black tap shoes. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)

Theater Dance: Leotard and non-footed tights (preferred) or tank top and leggings/close-fitting pants (no jeans, no skirts). Jazz shoes. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)
