Kindergarten Arts Programs

Darlington offers two supplemental arts programs for Kindergarten students. These programs are designed to introduce students to a classroom environment, while inviting them to explore a variety of visual and performing arts.

Multidisciplinary Arts Mornings

Ages 4-6
Wednesdays    9 – 11:30 am
$350
16 weeks: February 1 – May 23 (Except 4/4)
Students will engage in the arts as a whole as they spend the morning exploring music, visual art and creative movement each week. Students will receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the semester. Dress in play clothes and bring a snack.

Afternoon Kindergarten Arts Experience ~ Winter/Spring 2012

     Ages  4 – 6
     Mondays,  1-2pm
     $52 / session
   Four 4 week sessions:
     Drama        Jan 30 – Feb 20           scenes of a play, prop and costume design
     Visual Art  Feb 27 – Mar 19          drawing, painting, mixed media projects
     Music         Mar 26 – Apr 23 (except 4/2)  singing, tone bar & percussive instruments, eurythmic exercises
     Dance       Apr 30 – May 21            dance fundamentals, ballet, fitness & hip hop/jazz
Students may enroll in one or all of these 4-week exploratory classes designed to introduce kindergarteners to the four arts: drama, visual art, music and dance. Students completing all four sessions will receive a certificate of achievement.
