Kindergarten Arts Afternoons 2012-13

Kindergarten Students
11:45 AM – 2:00 PM
Tuesdays – Thursdays     1, 2, or 3 Days a Week
5% Discount available on 2nd and 3rd Days

5 and 6 year olds join an afternoon of enriching arts-based activities, including a specialized afternoon class in Visual Art, Dance or Drama! The program includes Lunch Bunch (pack your own lunch), circle time and a variety of visual and performing arts activities.

Class Schedule:

Tuesdays Creative Dance
Fall:   18 weeks Sept 11 – Jan 22 (Except 12/25 and 1/1)   $525
Winter / Spring:  16 weeks Jan 29 – May 21 (Except 3/26)  $475
Children are introduced to dance and movement through traditional dance warm-ups and imaginative story-telling, while learning to express ideas and tales through movement. Students have the option of participating in Darlington’s Annual Spring Dance Recital (must be registered and attending class by January 29th). Recital and costume fees will apply to students who would like to participate in the Spring Dance Recital.

Wednesdays Art Adventures
Fall:   18 weeks Sept 12 – Jan 16 (Except 12/26)              $550
Winter/Spring:  16 weeks Jan 30 – May 22 (Except 3/27)  $500
Students are encouraged to look, experiment and express ideas while working with a variety of art materials including paint, clay, pencil, pastel and more. Students have the opportunity to take part in student art exhibits in January & June.

Thursdays Imagination Theater
Fall:  17 weeks Sept 13 – Jan 17 (Except 11/22 and 2/27)  $500
Winter / Spring:  16 weeks Jan 31 – May 23 (Except 3/28)  $475
Through storytelling, creative drama and movement, students use their imagination to bring tales to life. Classes present short class performances at the end of each semester.

Students at Concord Elementary School can take the school bus directly to Darlington!
