The Darlington Dance Company provides performance opportunities for dancers that love the spotlight. New dance works will be created using diverse techniques, including modern, ballet, jazz and hip hop. The dancers’ performance quality and love of dance will grow as they discover their creative talents. Performances will be held at Darlington and at various sites in the community.
Recommended Attire: Tank top and leggings/close fitting pants (No jeans, no skirts) or a leotard and non-footed tights. Ballet slippers, jazz shoes or dance sneakers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck into a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc.)
2011 Dance Recital Info - Darlington’s 2010-2011 Dance Recital will be held on May 8th at Garnet Valley High School. Dress Rehearsal & Pictures will be May 7th also at GVHS. Classes will continue to meet after the recital. Upon registration, students will be charged a $30 recital fee per family to help defray the cost of the performance space and cover costume shipping costs. There is no additional charge for tickets or a limit on invited guests. Costumes are selected and ordered by the teachers. Students receive written notification of the size and price after measurements are taken by the teacher. Parents have two weeks to send in payment and to discuss any changes in size.
