Back to School Arts Party September 29 Begins 40th Anniversary Celebration

Darlington Back to School Arts Party Kicks off 40th Anniversary Celebration

Darlington Arts Center, in Garnet Valley, invites the community to their annual Back to School Arts Party on Saturday, September 29 from 6-8 p.m. The event marks the 40th year of Darlington Arts Center as a vital connection point and teaching institution for the arts.

Included during the evening will be displays of artwork from Darlington Teaching Artists and students plus music performances.  Attendees also have opportunities to utilize their artistic skills and participate in a collaborative art project in addition to creating their own unique work of art.

“Our Back to School Arts Party offers a relaxed environment to honor the arts while bringing the community together,” says Darlington Executive Director Eric Carter-Thompson. “We are celebrating our 40th anniversary in Concord Township and this event provides an ideal forum to display the diverse and superlative talents of our students and Teaching Artists, in addition to highlighting the classes and workshops that are available daily at the Center.  Darlington welcomes area residents, neighbors, friends, and their families to join us for this autumn tribute to the four arts,” said Carter-Thompson.

This event also serves as a fundraiser for the Center and all proceeds will go to the Darlington Building Fund. “Our arts party is both a toast to Darlington and a toast to the community for their continued support, says Carter-Thompson.  “At Darlington, we believe in building community through the arts with a mission for providing every art for everyone,” he concluded.

Please join us for a festive evening!
