Battle of the Bands Competition!

Battle of the Bands Competition Guidelines:
Darlington Arts Center, in collaboration with Concord Township, is thrilled to announce our Battle of the Bands competition! This is your chance to showcase your talent, gain exposure, and compete for fantastic prizes. Please review the guidelines below to ensure your band is eligible and prepared to participate.

Submission Deadline:
Bands must submit a recording of their original song via our online portal (listed below) no later than July 1, 2025. Only one submission per band/group.

Late submissions will not be accepted.

Public Voting:
Once submitted, your song will be uploaded to our official YouTube page for public voting.
Voting will consist of up and down votes on the video, the more up votes you receive the more likely it will be for you to move on to the live performance. Share your song with friends, family, and fans to gather votes!

Voting will run from July 5, 2025 to July 20, 2025.

Live Performance:
The top 4 bands with the most votes on our Youtube page will advance to the live Battle of the Bands concert on August 9, 2025 at Concord Park. Each band will perform live in front of a panel of unbiased judges and an audience.

Live Performance Rules:
Each band will have 15 minutes to set up (mic check, ext.) before their performance. Bands must bring their own instruments (e.g., guitars, percussion instruments, ext). A basic sound system will be provided as well as microphones and speakers.Performances must align with the submitted song and adhere to the same content guidelines.

How to Submit:

  • There is a $25 submission fee.
  • Once registration and payment is made, you will receive an e-mail with a link to upload your video.
  • Upload your Video file (MP4 format preferred).
  • Include your band’s name, contact information, song lyrics (if applicable) and a brief bio.

Submission Requirements:
Original Music Only: Submitted songs must be original compositions. Covers or copyrighted material will not be accepted.
Appropriate Content: Music must be suitable for all ages. Lyrics and themes should not include profanity, political, divisive, or explicit material.
Recording Quality: Ensure your recording is clear and professionally presented. Poor audio quality may impact your chances of advancing.

Winners Announced:

  • Judges will select the winning band at the live event.
  • Prizes will be awarded as follows:
  • 1st Place: $500
  • Runners-Up: $100 each

Important Notes:
By submitting your song, you grant us permission to upload it to our YouTube channel for voting purposes.
Bands are responsible for promoting their song during the voting period.
Judges’ decisions during the live event are final.
