Kids Classes Academic Year: 2026
Academic Year Classes:
Academic year classes are structured educational programs that run until January. These classes are billed monthly, providing flexibility for participants to join or withdraw at any time. Additionally, students have the option to switch to a different class at the beginning of each trimester, allowing them to explore new subjects or adjust their learning paths as needed.
Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.

Play With Clay 
Ages: 4-8, Mondays, 4:00pm-5:30pm
Join us to try all kinds of clay in different projects. A great way for beginners to learn how to build with model magic, polymer clay, ceramic clay and more! Learn to build exciting sculptures as well as functional items - like a cup you can actually use! A fun and creative way to spend a Monday afternoon! In accordance with Garnet Valley School Transportation guidelines, Garnet Valley Students may be bused to Darlington as part of our Afterschool Club!

Kids Sewing Club (8-12)

Learn the basics of sewing in this introductory class. Our teaching artist will guide the students through a series of projects to illustrate the various skills. No experience necessary – just a willing spirit and an eagerness to learn. Jewelry Making
Ages: 7-12, Thursdays, 4:00pm-5:30pm
In this weekly jewelry-making class for grades K–5, young artists will learn beading, wire work, and design techniques using materials like polymer clay, glass beads, and leather cord. Over the academic year, students will create bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and keychains while developing fine motor skills and an eye for color and composition. All tools and materials are provided. No prior experience is needed—just a love for making unique, wearable art!
