Preschool and Kindergarten Trimester Classes - 2025

Trimester- A trimester class structure follows a school year model divided into three 10-week terms instead of the typical 8-week sessions.

Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.

Visual Art

Art Start - Guardian & Child 
Ages: 2-5 with adult, Saturdays, 10:00am-11:00am
Team up with your little artist to explore creativity in a fun and relaxed environment. Create works of art together in many different mediums while your child learns important classroom and socialization skills. Price is for the pair. One child per adult. Use child's name and age when registering for class.

Tiny Tutus (Non-recital class)
Ages: 2-3, Saturdays, 9:00am-9:30am
Our youngest ballerinas are introduced to classical ballet technique, vocabulary and rhythm through games and fairy tale stories.

Beginner Tap (Non-recital class)
Ages: 3-6, Saturdays, 9:30am-10:30am
This fun and energetic beginner tap class introduces young dancers to the basics of tap dance in a playful, engaging way. Through creative movement, simple rhythms, and age-appropriate exercises, children will develop coordination, musicality, and confidence while making music with their feet! Classes include games, songs, and simple tap routines to keep little dancers excited and motivated. No prior experience needed, just a willingness to move and groove! Teaching Artist: KJ Carney

Beginner Ballet (Non-recital class)
Ages: 3-6, Saturdays, 10:30pm-11:30pm
This enchanting beginner ballet class introduces young dancers to the magical world of ballet in a joyful, imaginative way. Through playful movement, storytelling, and music, little ones will learn basic ballet steps while developing grace, coordination, and confidence. Each class incorporates creative exercises, gentle stretches, and simple routines set to child-friendly music, making learning fun and engaging.

Music and Me

Join us for a joyful musical adventure designed for preschoolers and their caregivers! In this interactive class, little ones and their grown-ups will explore rhythm, movement, and song through playful activities like fingerplays, simple instruments, dancing, and sing-alongs.
