Creative Aging Program
Darlington Arts Center now offers expanded opportunities for senior members of the community through classes and workshops on and off campus!
Ages: 55+, Thursdays, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
In this class, you will be encouraged to explore your creative side while learning the fundamentals of the voice. Learn voice techniques and exercises for traditional and contemporary styles. Build confidence singing solos and group numbers. Presentation for friends and family on the last day of class! Students may take the bus directly from school using Garnet Valley School District transportation for this class as part of our After-School Arts Club.

Jan. 16 - May 7, 2020 (16 weeks) (exc. 4/9)
Free! Senior membership is required.
Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

Feb. 8 - June 6, 2020 (16 weeks) (exc. 11/27, 11/29, 12/25, 12/27,1/1, 4/8, 4/10, 5/22)
Free for Medicare-eligible members of participating health plans (call 610-358-3632 to check eligibility).
Drop-in: $8.50/class for all other participants.
Improv and Acting Through Storytelling
Ages: 55+, Wednesdays, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Learn to think on your feet and develop your acting skills for the stage! Participate in a social theater class with other members of the community in this Creative Aging program! Build your wit and hone your comedic timing while also developing your dramatic skills.
