Receive quality instruction with our professional teaching artists. Whether you are a beginner or planning a career in music, you will find instructional excellence at Darlington! Through individual weekly instruction, students gain technical expertise, learn music and experience personal growth. Students can gain performing experience at recitals each month and at our end of year festival, The 4Arts Festival.

Private instruction is available in instruments, including:
Bass guitar, drums/percussion, guitar (rock, folk, jazz, classical), clarinet, piano, saxophone, trumpet, viola, violin and voice.

2024-2025 Academic Year Pricing, 34 Weekly Lessons
30-minute lessons: 4 payments of $391
45-minute lessons: 4 payments of $587
60-minute lessons: 4 payments of $782

  • Pay in full by October 1st and save 5%!
  • Additional $16 recital fee applies
  • Lessons may be scheduled after the semester start date (September 9) at a pro-rated discount.
  • Select artist faculty may have higher rates.
  • Private music lesson registration may not be made more than 2 weeks prior to start date.

  • There are no payment plans available for our trimesters. Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.
