Visual Art Classes - Winter/Spring 2025
Discover your inner artist at Darlington
We offer classes and workshops in drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, mixed media & more. Learn the skills of an artist and create beautiful pieces to take home! Our small class sizes allow for our friendly, experienced teaching artists to devote individual attention to each student. Classes and workshops are designed for children and adults of all ages and skill levels - beginners welcome! Interested in a class that has already started? If a spot is available, you may be able to join with pro-rated tuition! Contact the office at 610-358-3632
Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone. Seniors (55+) may receive a Senior Membership of $40. Seniors must call to register for this membership.

Team up with your little artist to explore creativity in a fun and relaxed environment. Create works of art together in many different mediums while your child learns important classroom and socialization skills. Price is for the pair. One child per adult. Paint and Clay Works

Heighten your imagination through the use of clay and paint! This class will teach the fundamentals of painting in acrylic and watercolor as well as three-dimensional ceramic art including the construction of fun sculptures in addition to functional pottery like mugs and bowls! Sewing For Your Home - NEW CLASS!

Homewares are the most classic of sewing crafts. In this class, we'll work on various items you may have wanted or seen at a craft fair like mug rugs, envelope throw pillows, bowl cozies, fabric baskets and more! Make A Jacket! - NEW CLASS!
Ages: 18+, Mondays, 2:30pm-4:00pm
If you've ever seen a quilted coat and thought you'd look amazing in one, why not make your own? In this class, we will start from scratch with your measurements, pick your pattern size, and sew it one step at a time. Basic sewing skills required. Make sure to pick up the materials list before class starts so you can be ready to learn and make a jacket you'll wear for years! Students enrolled in the Session 1 Introduction to Quilting class will use their pieced back panel as the focal point of their jacket. Basic sewing skills necessary.
