2023-2024 Preschool Registration open!

5 days/week!

Introduce your child to learning through a special arts-integrated curriculum! Arts-based learning emphasizes creativity, imagination, exploration, and active participation. The arts add depth to fundamental concepts, reinforcing comprehension and memory. Children must be 3 years old and potty-trained before the first day of preschool.

Students will benefit from:
- High-quality arts-enriched learning activities with professional Teaching Artists
- Small class size and two Teaching Artists all day
- Traditional preschool activities such as circle time, free play and outdoor play
- Multi-week units of core curriculum developed by a certified teacher
- Learning responsibility and cooperation by working with peers

Mornings available!
  -  3 year-olds who are potty-trained may register for a morning session each day

Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.

5 days: Monday - Friday (5 days/week)
Preschool morning sessions: 9:00 a.m. - noon

4-month program: January 8, 2024 - May 10, 2024
Preschool Curriculum includes:
- The calendar: days of the week & months of the year
- Seasons: science & weather
- Colors & shapes
- Numbers, patterns, & sequence
- The alphabet: letter of the week, pre-writing, & capital letters
- Counting & 1-to-1 correspondence
- Social skill development
- Fine & gross motor skills
- Pre-reading skills & age-appropriate literature
- Cultures & social context
- Visual & performing arts

2023-2024 Morning Pricing:
5 days/week: 4 payments of $701.25

Enrollment requires payment of 2023-2024 Family Membership Fee ($75). The first tuition payment is due upon registration. Remaining monthly payments are due on the 15th of the month from 2/15/24 to 4/15/24

Health and Safety Precautions:

  • Masks are recommended but not required. Coverings may be provided by the office if needed.
  • Outdoors and large classrooms (like our Community Space and Painting Studio) will be utilized primarily by the preschool / kindergarten programs
  • If Darlington is forced to close due to PA State Mandate, classes will continue online to ensure the continuity of arts enrichment.
