Kids Classes | Fall 2023
Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.

Play With Clay

Join us to try all kinds of clay in different projects. A great way for beginners to learn how to build with model magic, polymer clay, ceramic clay and more! Pieces of Portraiture **NEW CLASS**
Ages: 11-17, Thursdays, 5:00pm-6:15pm
Take a closer look at the individual parts of our faces that make us all, well . . individuals! Through direct observation and step by step templates and tutorials, sketch along with Teacher Kaity, as you learn to develop your studies into realistic drawings of the human face. From studying facial features to looking at our faces as a whole, learn tricks in creating realistic proportional drawings while using a variety of materials including- cut paper, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils and paints. You'll use these different mediums to create a variety of drawings and paintings ranging from black & white to expressive color, that captures the detail and shapes of the art of portraiture.
