HOW DO YOU SIGN UP?

Because we are a member-supported center for the arts, a non-refundable Family Membership of $75, valid from September 1 through August 31, is required to enroll in all activities (exceptions are noted and include all workshops) and will be pro-rated to $40 for activities beginning after March 1. The Family Membership may be tax-deductible and allows Darlington to maintain facilities, provide excellent administration, care for our instruments and studios, and fulfill our mission to provide Every Art for Everyone.

Let your imagination soar as you create fun arts and crafts! Creativity is the name of the game as you work with a variety of different mediums such as paint, clay, fabric, and yarn to produce unique creations! Garnet Valley students may be bused to Darlington as part of our Afterschool Club!

Curtains Up! Acting for Kids

Whether you are continuing your dramatic journey or you are brand new to the stage, this class is for you! Receive the tools and training of professional actors. Be the playwrights, designers and directors of your very own show! You will build confidence and presence while you create an original play to perform for family and friends on the final date! Acting and Improv for Kids

Are you destined to be on stage? In this introduction to Acting and Improvisation for kids, you will build confidence and social skills while expressing and expanding your creativity! Participate in a variety of theater games while learning the skills of a theater artisan! Create characters, scenes and stories with friends! Junk To Gems

Are you ready for an upcycling adventure? In this class, you will transform recyclables, household, and found objects into unique 2 and 3 dimensional artworks. Projects may include painted CD dream catchers, upcycled board book art journals, painted cardboard masks and animals, recycled paper jewelry, or other amazing works! Paint and Clay Works

Heighten your imagination through the use of clay and paint! This class will teach the fundamentals of painting in acrylic and watercolor as well as three-dimensional ceramic art including the construction of fun sculptures in addition to functional pottery like mugs and bowls! Dance The Movies **A FAVORITE RETURNS!**
Ages: 7-12, Wednesdays, 4:00pm-5:oopm
Come learn the dances to some of your favorite movies! From Disney’s Descendants and Z-O-M-B-I-E-S to hit movie musicals like Hairspray and The Greatest Showman, you’ll be dancing like a movie star! You’ll get to show off your dances for family and friends on the last day. No dance experience or special dance shoes required! Play With Clay **NEW DAY**

Join us to try all kinds of clay in different projects. A great way for beginners to learn how to build with model magic, polymer clay, ceramic clay and more! Learn to build exciting sculptures as well as functional items - like a cup you can actually use! A fun and creative way to spend a Monday afternoon! Art Around The World

You will learn about world cultures through art as you travel the continents and create beautiful artworks inspired by global traditions. Projects may include Mexican Ojos de Dios, Turkish Hamsas, Japanese Marbling, Panamanian Molas and much more. Guitar for Kids I

In a fun and creative atmosphere, students who have little or no previous training on the guitar will be introduced to basic chords, simple melodies, reading music and tuning. A Whole New Twirl **NEW CLASS**

From classic films like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast to newer additions like Frozen and Encanto, you’ll be dancing like royalty! Do you have an active imagination? Do you create creatures in your mind? Do you wish to see those creatures come to life? If the answer to these questions is YES, then this is the class for you! Create 2D and 3D original creatures and introduce them to our world or create new, unchartered worlds for them to explore.
