ONE DAY WORKSHOPS

Mixed Media Art Journals
Monday, June 3, 12:30pm-2:30pm
Artists will use paint, collage and assemblage to begin decorating the outside cover of an art journal. They will also explore a variety of techniques and materials to create tags, pockets, and a collage masterboard that can be later incorporated into additional page layouts of their journals. Artists are encouraged but not required to bring ephemera and small sentimental items to make their work more personal. These can vary and include family photos (or copies), notes/scraps from old cards, tickets stubs and theater or museum programs, catalogs for gardening or other interest areas, old keys, bits of lace or fabric and more.

Creative Aging

Curated arts programs for students age 55 and over!

Creative Aging activities provide arts and humanities programs and performances that stimulate participants' minds, creativity and sense of self. Programs in music, art, dance, and drama are designed to educate, engage, enrich and entertain.

Creative Aging programs are enjoyable lifetime arts and encourage continued participation. They provide a sense of self-exploration as well as opportunities to socialize. They build self-esteem and confidence, reducing anxiety, stress and depression while helping to improve physical capability and cognition. Programs can be tailored to your group or organization's needs and occur on-site at our professional facility or offsite at your location, as needed.
